Recently I met an old friend. He's a friend I've never liked and have not seen in quite some time. His name is called "Poor".
My bank has finally reached it's limits, and I've used my 免死金牌 for this month already.
3 more days to October, which I reluctantly have to welcome with open arms only because I need the inflow of cash.
From 4th October onwards, birthdays starts coming up like nobody's business and I'll fret over presents and money. Especially during the November + December period.

It's the OST of the Jdrama 一弓深眼淚.
The show is based on a true story of the fate a high school girl who excels in school takes a turn when she realises that she has contracted a terminal disease that will cause her muscles and nerves in the body to stop working gradually. She perseveres and touched many lives around her.

The story started today afternoon, when I planned to have lunch there, and try my luck, which isn't very good because it's Rain again. I refuse to sit in and watch more Rain.
Then for dinner, thanks to my lovable friends who gave in to my willful request, we went there again. This time, there's no screen!! Being despondent, we made a trip to the toilet before redeciding on where else to eat.
When we return, they were rolling down the screen. I've seriously given up on any hopes to see TVXQ's videos, I don't wanna face anymore rejections for my requests.
So Kind Shan helped me request to play TVXQ's videos. I think the manager agreed because he wanted us to patronize them.
In the end, I had 1 full hour of TVXQ!! ...like finally!

My Dad Mom is Planning For The Future
Ever since my trip to the USA College Exhibit, my dad has been harping on the issue of planning our future.
Frankly speaking, he's very worried about our lives 10 years later. In his perspective, Singapore is growing too fast and in 5 years time, we wouldn't be able to survive as well as we are now (that is if they had to depend on us).
He knows my kor has plans for himself, but that doesn't mean he is contented with my kor's ideals, it's just that they've given up on him. Since his goal in life is to make money, then earning enough to keep himself alive wouldn't be an issue. It's having the right morals they are worried about.
So my dad has been asking us on our plans for the future. Since I'm already searching for a university, I'm fortunately off the hook. My other brother is feeling the pressure already.
Being the youngest and having A'Levels tightening around his neck, he's already facing enough stress. Now my dad throws a Big question in front of him and he daringly replied with an unsatisfactory answer... he said, "Don't worry, I've not changed my dreams for 2 years already."
I was laughing my ass off quietly when I heard this answer... so much for don't worry. Then, the drilling started. Somehow, we got into the topic of maintaining our standard of living and everyone except my mom, agreed that our family belongs to the upper middle class segment. She thinks that we are only middle class people, but I think she's just giving excuses to be stingy.
My brother made this comment:
"In FMSS, I'm considered Upper Middle Class among my friends. But after entering ACJC, I become 2faced. In front of my Fairfield friends, I'm Upper Middle Class. In front of ACJC, I'm only Middle Class."
My dad replied his comment:
"That's why I'm giving you $X00 of pocket money a month, so that you can fit in."
My thoughts at that moment:
"I should have stayed in Fairfield, then I would have a higher chance to get into ACJC."
We could tell that our Dad is earnestly worried for our future, but I kinda doubt my mom's sincerity.
All because she said this:
"You all have to plan for your futures now. Now that the CPF age limit is increasing, in the future we will need you all to support us, you know?"
I think she's just mostly worried about her life after retirement.
I could see how much she yearns for that day.

My Life Meets The Future
I'll start from my day on Friday.
My previous post mentioned about theme park therapy, which didn't happen because it was closed, but there was still the bbq and chalet to look forward to.
If Tampines is JB, then Pasir Ris would be KL. To endure the journey I picked up some reading materials.
My choice: Teens magazine.
My reason: The back cover.
People who know me well enough, or maybe observant Queenswayans would probably understand after seeing this picture.
The chalet was planned months ago after the Shanghai trip and of course, those were the people who were expected to turn up. Ultimately when the day finally came, only 7 turned up.
And you were thinking that's quite pathetic... on the first night, the only 2 male species in the group were the only ones in the chalet, the girls all couldn't make it...
The worst is when we allowed the 2 guys to plan and buy our bbq land products (fkmk and glawu only had to worry about seafood). Apparently they have no basic knowledge of the appetite of girls and I don't think they took the no. of people in the bbq into consideration.
We ended up having enough left overs to feed a family.
F.Y.I. I've been to so many bbqs but this is the first I had to work to get food. Believe it or not (I know ppl like Cw wouldn't), I started the fire for the bbq. *Grins with Satisfaction*
But that doesn't mean I'll do it for the next bbq.. even if I have no excuse, I'll refuse, period.
I'm used to sleeping when the sun rises, so when we tucked ourselves in at 2.30am, I still had the energy to run 2.4. After much shuffling and fidgeting (because to the ungentlemanly male species), I managed to catch a few winks just before daylight.
Being up and walking when I normally would have just fallen asleep at home, my brain and limbs didn't function as well as I wanted it to. I fumbled and stumbled through breakfast, and I was lucky to have managed to find my way home.
Then, Shan called to go to some wakeboarding quarter-finals in Kallang. I was like thinking in my mind, "Please, somebody just shoot me so that I can have eternal rest." I declined apologetically, very sincerely, otherwise I would just give myself the honors to end my life.
I was determined to last it out until after dinner until Alvin msged to go out at night. I was reluctant at first, until Sh msg me saying that the Korean BBQ restaurant in Cine was showing TVXQ's videos.
Hehe.... I'll do anything for TVXQ. (:
So, I agreed and forced myself to bed and out of bed just for the few hours in Cine.
Frankly though, the Teri-Q chicken in the Korean bbq restaurant is really good, you all should try it out. Taste Guaranteed.
Sh and Hk joined us for dinner, and when I got there, they were playing Rain's videos again, the same one as the one I watched in the previous visit. When I asked to change it, the manager said some1 else requested for Rain's videos first.
Some Luck....
Alvin, Zw and I roamed the streets of Orchard aimlessly, shopped HMV, ate Ice cream, read comics in Borders. There was really nothing much to do after making the nightlife of Orchard, Cine, our 1st stop.
I got home, stoned in front of my laptop for hours and only got to bed just before the sun rises.
So much for killing myself to get some rest huh?
When I woke up today, I panicked. There's a USA College Exhibit that closes at 4pm and it's already 2pm. I quickly washed up and searched the house for mummy. I insist that she speeds there for the sake of my future.
Of all the universities that took part, I was only interested in 2.
North Dakota State University and University of San Francisco.
I would prefer USF, since it's nearer to Singapore, but whether the university would take me in would be another issue. Afterall, I'm competing with all the A'Level Certs and GPA >3 students.
To make my future seem more bleak than it already is, we met my cousin who's sec 4 this year exiting the exhibition hall. She was there with her mom for 2 hours already. A Rafflesian who doesn't need to take an O'Level Cert. Where do I stand?
There's going to be another USA college exhibit next week in Suntec. I'm trying to make my life easier here, but I'm not seeing any results. Apparently it gets harder and harder.
That reminds me, Cw mentioned about an Australian College Exhibition in October. I need to get the dates right. Somehow, Australia sounds less scary than USA. To think my mom has even considered England... Spare Me!!!
Btw, I can't guarantee I'll remember everyone's birthday forever, but 2 dates I'll always remember no matter how hard I try not to. 23rd September is one of them. Sigh.
My family is having a Steamboat for the Mid-Autumn Festival tonight. Thank god I skipped lunch for the sake of my future, my near future that is... Dinner Time!!

Asia Song Festival
22nd September 2007, Korea Seoul, Asia Song Festival 2007.
Ahhhh... I didn't get the free tickets (not that I can afford the plane tickets anyways).
Last year's Asia Song Festival 06 was also around this time of the year. Because it was also near Japan's A-Nation concert.
Which was when Yunho sprained his ankle, thus missing out on such big events.

Yunho was singing in 'Holding Back The Tears'.. such a pleasant song.. I'm quite sure Shan will like it.
But Yunho had to leave for 'Sky' cuz he can't dance at that time.. Such a pity.
I'm so looking forward to this year's Asia Song Festival.. I'm gonna be tracking all my dl lobangs on Monday onwards for snippets and interviews of TVXQ. Just You Wait.
If Zw wasn't the one selling these pretty necklaces, I'll probably make my order right away.
The pink and black ones are preeetty..

Life Like This
Rants Corner
I knew what I was going into from the moment I accepted the job, but I didn't have a choice.
So I still have my rights to complain.
I'm sick of my assistant. Delegating work is almost impossible.
Hope she doesn't read my blog. =x
Ngee Ann's School of BA is too free (or maybe lazy).
The purpose of self-selecting timetable is to allow students to choose their desired modules and timeslots.
But when the students are halfway through their FYPs and are in the mids of implementing their assigned tasks within a class, do they still have a choice to choose a different class? And what will happen if they didn't manage to stay in their usual class? Does that mean that they have to sacrifice their hardwork and efforts and start from scratch in a new class?
NP School of BA seriously have to reassess their system.
I don't know if I should shout for rejoice or cry in pain.
In life, I've never felt so confused.
My mom (and family) forced me to choose between my 2 most desired holidays for this Xmas Vacation.
Remember that I once mentioned that there's a possibility of me going Taiwan?
It's finally coming true. My mom bought the air tickets. It's gonna be a 9 days Taiwan Tour.
I should be happy because that's the place I really wanna go, it's a place I've been begging my parents to go. But why now? Why must they always put me in a spot?
Our departure date is on the 15th December, which is the day TVXQ hits Thailand for their "O" 2nd Asia Concert. Argh!!!! All my hopes of watching TVXQ Live is gone!

I've made my order to buy this necklace.
Qp suggested on buying it, and I was reluctant at first. But after the gathering on TVXQ's day, an idea struck me. The reason for me not buying is because I don't see the point.. there's no picture and the boys did not design it or sign it. The necklace is just a gimmick for the company to earn money using the boy's names. But I was looking for the perfect necklace that I could wear daily. The Yunho pendant would be too plain.
Zw... I'll arrange a date with you for a trip to Chinatown and your place... I'm thinking of getting a silver locket.. =D
When I was making my order, I saw this and got tempted.
They are soooo preetty! Should I buy?? It's $20 for a pair...

This a Korean fastfood restaurant in Cine. My BBQ Chicken set.

I know they endorsed BBQ Chicken, but I wasn't sure if this was it.
So when I got home, I went YouTube to reconfirm.
She was right.

This is apparently, according to QP, endorsed by TVXQ.I know they endorsed BBQ Chicken, but I wasn't sure if this was it.
So when I got home, I went YouTube to reconfirm.
She was right.
The photos we took revolved around TVXQ.
Wanted to take simple photos with our phones, but it failed terribly.So we decided to get it done the neoprint way.

My Dong Bang Friend (Changmin Fan) is asking for videos that shows the noisy side of Changmin. This is my gift for you. Changmin is super hyper in this interview. He even started playing 'Rock Paper Scissors' in the middle of the interview. In fact, everyone (especially Jaejoong) was hyper in this interview.. Maybe not Junsu, because I think he wasn't feeling too well that day.
They were at it again... bullying Junsu... oh! and Junsu and his Oyagi Gags (Cold Jokes)... lols

Somehow, Shan found out about TVXQ's attempt on the song 'A Whole New World' for the sake of the opening of DisneySea in Japan.
I think she likes it, but I think she'll like their performance even more...

She asked if Jaejoong's english was good.. I didn't know how to answer her.
Frankly speaking, Jaejoong is poor in his studies.. so I'm not sure about his language ability.
Changmin is the brains in the group, he was the fastest to pick up the Japanese language.
But when it comes to English, they will always let Yoochun (the 1st singer in the song) do the job. Afterall, he lived in Virginia for 4 years.

After watching the above video, notice that in the song Whatever They Say (the one where Jaejoong did the beatbox), Jaejoong posed a peace sign before singing the last line. Right after that, Changmin saw the pose and smiled.
This is just the beginning.
3years later, in the "Tohoshinki Acapella on FITB 2nd Live Tour 2007" video posted in the intermission section of the previous post, they did it again.
Jaejoong paused and gave a sigh before the last line of the song.
Changmin smiled in disbelief.
I remember in the X-Man TVXQ Special, there was a JaeMin moment in the 'Of Course' game.
Changmin made Jaejoong admit for being too conscious of his fans and the camera.
Therefore, I conclude that the Peace sign and the Sigh were Jaejoong's gimmicks for being conscious of the fans.
And Changmin finds it unbelievable.
